CP is coming to: London!

I've been a part of the CP team for nearly 18 months now, and in that time it's been great to see us continue to go from strength to strength as a grassroots movement that reflects the Conservative Party and is a voice for its members and its supporters.

In particular, it's been fantastic to see the continued growth of CP outside of London, and I'm proud to be part of a regional team that's focused on electoral success, campaign training and exciting events (currently virtual, but hopefully in person soon) across the length and breadth of the country.

We're privileged to be the host city for Conservative Progress' increasingly popular and ever successful annual conference and it's great to be able to support Ed and the wider team in bringing fantastic events to everyone from the nation's capital. That said, I'm sure I speak for all Londoners when I say I look forward to supporting regional events and nation-wide CP events outside of London (when Zoom events and socially distanced picnics are part of Flashback Friday Instagram posts).

We know that electoral success is critical to being able to deliver good government and better services for hardworking people and families.

Across the country, Conservative Progress works hard to support local candidates and activists, whether that's in local elections or giving communities a strong voice in Westminster. We are also working incredibly hard to train activists and share best practice from across the country so that we can continue to develop campaigning skills and support fantastic candidates everywhere. This is especially important in London and I'm pleased to be able to bring my experience running and fighting election campaigns in Australia and the UK to the table and support Alan and Mario in the great work they're doing.

In May next year, London will choose a Mayor to lead this amazing city and be the public and political face of our nation's capital. Conservative Progress knows how important it is that London has a Mayor who will deliver for our city. Londoners want a Mayor who will listen to them, understand their priorities and honour their commitments.

That's why the Conservative Progress team has already begun working with local Associations, supporters and activists across this great city to put our training programme into practice as we work to deliver a #BlueMajority for Shaun Bailey.

By coming together, we can work with Shaun and the Conservative GLA Team to deliver safer streets, a healthier environment, cleaner air, more housing and better public transport.

Conservative Progress' priority is London's priority - a Mayor of London for London.
